Socks and Gloves
Laredo community workers kindly donated gloves and socks for every student here at Laredo. Northrop Grumman, Phoenix and Sentinel, Lockeed Martin, Raytheon, SAIC, ITEC and Solidyn were the companies that collected and organized the donation. In addition, clothing was also given to three families here at Laredo. Our staff and student body want to thank our community workers for their generosity and kindness!

Toys
Smoky Hill High School students from the Consumer and Family Study Occupation class visited our kindergarten classes with holiday ornaments and stockings stuffed with toys for each student. They helped the kindergartners make their picture ornaments and read holiday stories with them. The kindergartners excitedly read their own published books to their new friends. They all shared hot chocolate and cupcakes that were made by the high school students.
The kindergartners want to thank their new friends from Family Career Community Leaders of America for adopting them and purchasing items for their stockings. The money for the items came from a bake sale and fund raisers held at their school.

In support of VISTA 2010, Laredo Elementary will have all students who are enrolled with us three years or more proficient or advanced in Reading, Writing, Math and Science by the end of their 5th grade year. The Laredo Vision We believe:
- Responsibility for high student achievement is shared by the entire Laredo community.
- Individual learning styles and creativity of students are honored.
- Our positive, forward focused attitude enables us to make choices that build a safe, healthy environment.
- Enlightened leadership becomes a shared responsibility of the learning community.
